Providing Constructive Feedback

Purpose: In this workshop, the participant will learn that feedback is a specific method of obtaining information about our own individual performance. Feedback lets us know where we need to improve. The process of giving and receiving feedback is a powerful method of ensuring the continuous improvement.
Duration:   1 Full Training Day or 2 Days of Four hours each
Overview:   By using the “Feedback Planner” the participants will learn how to provide feedback as an effective communication tool. The participants will learn how to: Describe Current Behavior, Identify Examples/Situations, Describe Impact and Consequences, and Identify Alternative Behaviors.
Audience:   Any organizational employee, organizational group, or project team
Delivery:   Consultant Led
Materials:   Participants will receive a workbook “Providing Constructive Feedback” that includes the course content as well as a course evaluation form.
Key Outcomes:  

A fully developed training course which includes process and guidelines for Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback and includes the following key points:

  • Using Feedback to Communicate Performance Expectations
  • Finding Opportunities to Provide Feedback

  • Feedback as a Tool for Employee Evaluations
